Alison Grounds

Alison Grounds is a Partner at Troutman Sanders law firm based in Atlanta, Georgia.  She is also the founder and managing director of Troutman’s wholly owned legal technology and eDiscovery subsidiary – eMerge.  eMerge’s attorneys and technologists, including custom programmers, assist clients with data management in litigation and governmental investigations including the preservation, collection, analysis, and production of electronically stored information.  Alison and her team leverage advanced analytics and machine learning to assist their clients with analyzing the information necessary to successfully resolve their legal matters.  Alison advocates for clients on eDiscovery issues in courts around the country.  For her efforts in founding eMerge, she was awarded the inaugural Monica Bay STEM Leadership award and the International Legal Technology Association’s Technology Advocacy Professional of the Year (2013).  Alison serves as an adjunct professor of eDiscovery and Legal Technology at Emory Law School and is nationally ranked by Chambers USA for her eDiscovery expertise.  She is also currently leading Troutman Sanders’ innovation initiative.
