Imma Calvo

Industry Director of Apps, Google

As the Industry Director of Apps at Google, Imma is passionate about the role apps play in redesigning and disrupting how consumers interact and connect with brands to create meaningful relationships and loyalty instead of one-time transactions. In her partnerships, she sees how the industry is beginning to discover and unlock the power of maintaining personal connection with users over time in the interwoven, multi-faceted world of entertainment, brands and community on apps.

Imma is drawn to ambiguous, constantly changing environments where she can do things differently, and she takes from previous experience to chart a way forward. In retail and performance, she focused on how brands and companies could take the consumer journey to a new level and not just navigate, but thrive in a highly competitive landscape.

Originally from Barcelona, Imma has worked in many global markets including Dublin and the UK and has an appreciation for the immense complexity and accompanying opportunity on the front-edge of an industry and market. She is inspired by the startup ecosystem that’s taken shape in Barcelona and much of the rest of Europe, and acts as a mentor and connector for new players in that space.

Outside of work, she loves to travel, ski, mountain bike, hike with my husband and 2 boys in beautiful California.
