Peggy Sullivan is a Senior Policy Advisor within the Division of Trading and Markets at the Securities and
Exchange Commission. Formerly she was the chief of staff at Vela Trading Systens responsible for
advising on market structure developments and customer relations.

Before joining Vela, Sullivan worked at the New York Stock Exchange for almost 20 years where she
served as vice president for strategic analysis and market data. She was also administrator of the
Consolidated Tape Association at NYSE, and head of market data administration. She also served as
managing director of NYSE Euronext, director of the exchange’s trading floor market data operations
and US product management.

Peggy was recently awarded the SEC Chair’s Award for Excellence in concert with colleagues within the
Division of Trading and Markets and the 2019 Women in Finance Award for Excellence in Service
Providers.

She is a graduate of Loyola University in Maryland.
