
Surabhi Lal
Surabhi Lal is the Chief Impact Officer at Luminary, a collaboration hub and meeting space for professional women headquartered in New York City. She designs, curates, and facilitates transformative experiences and programs that encourage learning, growth, and community. She brings twenty years of experience in community building, leadership and career development, and workshop design and facilitation. Surabhi is committed to advancing inclusive workplaces and bringing people together of different backgrounds to build stronger communities. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at NYU’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach.
Over the course of her career, she has coached thousands of job seekers and helped them achieve meaningful careers and personal success. Using her unique ability to see individuals’ potential and develop their individual talents she cultivates exemplary management models and curricula that enhance the performance of individuals, teams, and organizations. Surabhi is deeply passionate about advancing equity in the workplace and creating cultures where individuals and teams thrive. She has worked in various areas of social impact, including higher education, international education, and grants management in both large organizations and at start-up ventures.
Surabhi holds a Master of Education from The University of Vermont and a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech in Agricultural Economics and Liberal Studies. She is on the board of the Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Foundation.
