Wynne Hayes

Vice President, Pfizer, Experience, Strategy and Excellence. 

Wynne Hayes is Vice President of Experience, Strategy and Excellence (ESE).   Wynne leads horizontal thought leadership and agile principles, prioritizing and developing strategies and solutions, to optimize the customer experience, and simplify end-to-end processes and architecture maximizing Digital’s impact on Pfizer’s purpose: breakthroughs that change patients’ lives.

Wynne has more than 35 years of professional experience including in health and life sciences, energy, and public service. She has a passion for building business-IT partnerships, creating visionary strategies, transformation, and delivering on promises through crisp execution of projects.

In her prior role, she was the CIO for Howard County, Maryland, where she was responsible for delivering information technology services to government and quasi-government agencies. 

Before joining Howard County, Wynne was Executive Director at Quest Diagnostics where she led the effort to formally create an IT Business Relationship Management function which included establishing an engagement model for C-suite executives to set IT priorities. Prior to joining Quest Diagnostics, she served in several leadership roles during a 24-year career with Constellation Energy Group. As Vice President of Enterprise Services, she led Constellation’s Shared Services/Corporate Center merger integration team during the company’s merger with Exelon in 2011-2012.

 Wynne earned her Bachelor of Science in Operational Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University and a Master of Business Administration from Loyola College in Baltimore. 

Wynne grew up in Southeast Asia and has lived in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, and Thailand before moving to the United States. Wynne and her husband now live in Ellicott City, Maryland.
