There has been a recent shift by governments regarding the focus on sustainability from a public policy perspective. This movement has been driven by the central focus on entrepreneurship and innovation. Entrepreneurship and innovation are seen as the driving force behind technological sustainability. Governments across the world – whether from the developed or developing world – are turning to entrepreneurs to solve societal and economic problems. At the recent COP-26, different stakeholders (i.e. charities, NGOs, politicians, policymakers, the private and public sectors) were in agreement that, to tackle the woes of climate change, technological entrepreneurship and innovation are at the centre of bringing about change for the better.
