New York, NY; March 28, 2017 – NASDAQ OMX Group, in partnership with Corporate Learning Hub (CLH), launches their next Women’s Initiatives Series today, offering a specialized program designed to develop leadership competencies with a goal to strengthen the pipeline of women for broader leadership roles in technology.
NASDAQ is committed to raising awareness about the vital importance of gender equality to sustainable development and business, NASDAQ and financial services organizations around the world. Offering Corporate Learning Hub’s program on Women in Technology – Femtech Initiatives is a vital part of NASDAQ’s commitment to women’s initiatives.
Broadcast at the NASDAQ epicenter MarketSite in the heart of New York City’s Times Square – the keen insight of CLH speakers Kathy Murray, Co-founder of Executive Forum Angel Investors and Shemeka Neville, Director of Special Projects at Coalition for Queens (C4Q), a non-profit aimed at fostering a more inclusive tech ecosystem and providing pathways out of poverty through tech. The program was live streamed to all of NASDAQ’s women employees globally.
The story of two women, who have focused their education and aspects of their careers on FemTech – Kathy Murray, a Baby Boomer and Shemeka Neville, a millennial. Each shared about how a basis in technology education has led them to a wide variety of career experiences. Their stories showed how technologies impact all of our work, now and on the horizon. Even more, they discussed how to engage in FemTech even if our basic education has not been technology based. As women, we can tap into certain experiences and resources that, when honed, can enable us to be strategic and achieve optimal results” says Kathy Murray.
